President and CEO, Valerie Way, Speaks at Press Conference in Support of Student Lifeline Act
Mental Health Association
The Mental Health Association is proud to announce our support for the Student Lifeline Act, a critical initiative aimed at enhancing youth mental health services in New York State. Spearheaded by Senator Samra G. Brouk and Assemblymember Sarah Clark, the legislation mandates the implementation of the 988 crisis line on student identification cards and enhances mental health education campaigns in educational institutions.
At the recent press conference, our President and CEO, Valerie Way, stood alongside Senator Brouk, Assemblymember Clark, and representatives from Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, NAMI Rochester, and NAMI-NY advocating for improved mental health resources and suicide prevention strategies for students across the state.
