A Home Run for Community Connection and Mental Wellbeing

Mental Health Association

Red Wings and MHA

On Friday, June 12, the Mental Health Association of Rochester was proud to spend an unforgettable evening at ESL Ballpark with the Rochester Red Wings. Thanks to the generosity of Stern Properties and the Rochester Red Wings, staff, supporters, volunteers, and community members came together for a night of baseball, connection, and mental health awareness.

MHA President & CEO, Val Way. Red Wings Game First PitchOne of the evening’s highlights was watching MHA President & CEO, Val Way, take the mound for the ceremonial first pitch. It was a proud moment for our organization and an exciting opportunity to represent the individuals, families, and communities we serve throughout the Greater Rochester region.

Throughout the evening, MHA staff and supporters enjoyed connecting with one another, sharing stories, and celebrating the partnerships that help make our work possible. Beyond the game itself, the event served as a reminder that community connection plays an important role in supporting mental wellbeing.MHA Staff at Red Wings Game
