Emotional Self-Care Through Self-Compassion

Self-compassion and mindfulness meditation are effective tools that can be used to help manage anxiety and mood disorders.  These tools can help us cultivate non-judgmental awareness of what is occurring in our lives and become more able to enrich our lives.

This program will:

  • Provide information about mindfulness meditation, self-compassion, and some of the research on the effectiveness of these approaches
  • Help you assess your current level of self-compassion and explore ways to increase self-compassion
  • Teach meditation and self-compassion practices that can be used on a daily basis

The presenter will be Myrna Hill, M.S., LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in private practice in Pittsford, NY.  She is also employed in the dual diagnosis Dialectical Behavior Therapy program at Westfall Associates and has over 20 years of experience in treating adults, couples and families.
