Dual Recovery Anonymous is an independent, nonprofessional 12step, self-help fellowship organization for people with a dual diagnosis (chemically dependent and also affected by an emotional or psychiatric illness).

Emotions Anonymous (Self Help Group)
 
Emotions Anonymous was formed by a group of individuals that were inspired by Alcoholics Anonymous. The program was adapted to meet the needs of people that deal with emotional issues. The group supports achieving and maintaining a balance of emotional health. The groupwill use a version of the 12 steps and 12 traditions to aid in emotional recovery. EA supports personal spiritual growth and send the message that you are not alone.
 
Four Agreements Support Group

A weekly support group based on the 4 Agreements, by Miguel Ruiz.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy Groups

Professional therapy groups that include Interpersonal Relationship Groups and Affective Disorders Groups. Must be a patient of Strong Behavioral Health to participate.

Living Each Day: A Therapy Group for Spouses

A therapy group for families and spouses of individuals with chronic or potentially terminal illnesses. Must be patients of Unity Health System.

Living Room

A peer facilitated meeting held on Wednesdays from 1-6:00 p.m. at 121 N. Fitzhugh Street. This meeting is for adults with mental health concerns where participants are members of a free, safe, non-judgmental community where caring is offered and received.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Rochester)

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Rochester) provides support, education, advocacy and hope to individuals and families affected by mental illness. Free Monthly support educational meetings, family and consumer workshops, classes, newsletter, and speaker’s bureau are offered. Information/Referral also available.

Strong Memorial Hospital, Community Mental Health Services On going professional treatment groups ranging from general mixed psychotherapy groups to symptom focused. Problems addressed include depression, anxiety, anger management, relationship issues and self esteem issues. Must be a patient of Strong Behavioral Health to particpate.

Symptom Management Groups

Symptom Management groups are professional therapy groups for adults experiencing a variety of mental health issues. They include Crisis Intervention Groups, Skills Training Groups, Cognitive Behavioral Depression Management Groups, Behavioral Activation Depression Groups and Cognitive Behavioral Anxiety Management Groups. Must be a patient of Strong Behavioral Health.

Veterans Groups

Provides a variety of individual, couple, family and mental health groups for Veterans who have served in a war zone or who have experienced military sexual trauma. Some groups open to spouses and partners.
