Services for individuals who have experiences a mental illness
Personalized and Assistance
Through the Peer Advocacy program, one-to-one support is provided to help individuals to explore their options, connect with community resources and resolve issues relating to their living arrangements, educational or work goals and personal relationships. Staff who provide this service have experienced similar issues.
Circle of Friends Drop In Center
Open in the afternoon and evenings, the Center provides a safe place for peers to socialize with other peers, attend self-help support groups and learn about community resources.
Warmline - Peer Support 786-0080
A confidential place to call and discuss mental health, substance abuse and everyday life issues with peers who are stable in their own recovery. The Warmline is staffed by individuals who have experienced similar issues and they provide callers with mental wellness support and community resources information.
Transportation
Peer Wheels is a free transportation service for those with mental health issues needing transportation to counseling, self-help groups and psychiatric care appointments. Arrangements must be made in advance by calling 786-0080.
Pre-Employment
Through the Hands and Hearts Thrift Store, peers with mental health issues are trained in the operations of a retail store in preparation for movement into competitive employment. The Store offers clean, quality merchandise at affordable prices.
